MY LIFE WITH HORSES

I have spent my life around horses. From an early age my sister and I were packed off to the local riding with our sandwiches come rain or shine to spend the weekend with the ponies and we were lucky enough to have ponies and horses of our own growing up.

It is however, in the last five years that I have begun to truly appreciate just how much horses have to offer us and what we owe them in return. For me everyday spent with horses is a day of learning and trying to improve my understanding of these incredible creatures.

My mare Jules (the beautiful bay on the home page and pictured here) has been my rock, my therapy and my absolute joy since I met and bought her in the Spring of 2017. She is a classic opinionated mare who hates fuss, loves her work and is as stoic as they come. For me a big part of learning equine massage therapy was to be able to help keep her supple and balanced and in top condition especially now she is in her 20s.

Since Jules arrived my little herd has grown and as you get to know me you will not be able to avoid getting to know about all my wonderful girls.

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN EQUINE SPORTS AND REHABILITATION MASSAGE AT MEADOWBROOK ACADEMY

Between February and August 2022 I undertook my Level 3 Diploma passing with a distinction. This was a in depth course with both theoretical and practical elements. The tutors at Meadowbrook Academy are very knowledgeable and I would recommend anyone interested in learning more to get in touch with them.
